Keto Bagel Turkey BLT Sandwiches Recipe
Intro - Grocery List - Directions - Macronutrients - Leftovers and Meal Prep
Everybody loves a hearty breakfast. Following a keto diet doesn’t mean that you have to miss out on traditional favorites like bagel sandwiches. The catch is that you just have to learn how to make the bagels keto-friendly!
It may sound daunting to make your own bagels, but we promise that this recipe doesn’t require a lot of ingredients or a ton of time. You may find that you love these homemade keto bagels so much that you’ll want to use them for other recipes, too!
These bagels are LOWER in carbs than regular bagels, which can have 50-75 grams of carbs per serving. But, they are not carb-free since they are made with almond flour, which does have some carbs. You will still have to watch your portions if you want to eat these and moderate the amount of other carbs you are eating during the day. Whether or not they fit into your plan will depend on the number of total carbs you are aiming for and how many you need to keep you in ketosis.
These can be a great substitute for bread for sandwiches. So, there is no reason why you can’t be creative with toppings in addition to the ones suggested. Consider adding salami and mortadella for an italian-style BLT. Or put an egg on top for a high protein breakfast.

Leftovers and Meal Prep
This recipe makes enough dough and includes toppings for 4 bagel sandwiches, but you could increase or decrease the ingredients as desired.
The dough can be frozen in individual baggies and defrosted later for when you are having a craving for bagels. Or you could always make the bagels ahead of time. They will keep in the fridge for 5 days. Or you can always cook them, then freeze them for making sandwiches at a later date.
If you are making sandwiches, all the veggies, such as tomatoes, lettuce, and avocados could also be washed and sliced ahead of time. Don’t slice the avocado and tomatoes too far in advance, they tend to start to taste a bit off after a day or two in the fridge.
To add even more calories from fat to this meal, you could use sliced roast beef and add cheddar cheese slices to the sandwich ingredients.
Once you master keto-bagel making, the sky's the limit with the recipes you could create!
