Ice cream is often synonymous with one thing: sugar; which instantaneously eliminates itself from the ketogenic menu. But what if there was a way that you could avoid the carbs and eat your ice cream too?

Let us introduce to you keto chocolate ice cream. Its easy to make, tastes great, and will not throw you out of ketosis. Just don’t binge out too hard!

Chef’s Note: We incorporate Team Keto collagen protein and C8 MCT Oil to improve both the macros and consistency of this dish. If you do not have these supplies on hand, you can adjust by using whey protein powder and coconut oil.

Diet planning this treat

Compared to non-keto mainstream desserts, keto ice cream is a walk in the park for macronutrients. Yes, total calories are high, but we are avoiding the brunt of carbohydrates. So, plan to allow yourself this treat on days where you have a reasonable caloric deficit.

Chef’s Note: You may be temped to pre-make multiple batches of keto ice cream to save for later dates. If you do so, be sure to work towards a fluffy, airy consistency to prevent it from freezing like a brick as many home made ice creams do!
