It doesn’t quite feel natural leaving bread-based food items behind when you enter the keto diet. For so long, they have been an essential staple point, laying the basis for serious cravings!

One of our solutions to bread cravings are these low carb cheesy keto biscuits. The taste and consistency are satisfyingly familiar, meaning you can enjoy your biscuits without any setbacks.

You can further garnish your biscuits with cream cheese, butter, or a simple homemade garlic butter sauce.

Note: Biscuits are used as a side with other weekly meals, could be helpful to make more at once. Though, may not weather time the same as traditional dough biscuits.

Servings: 4 - Serving size: 1 biscuit - Calories: 288 - Fat: 25 g - Protein: 13 g - Net Carbs: 3 g


Grocery List:

  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tbsp heavy whipping cream
  • 1 cup almond flour
  • 3/4 cup Sharp shredded cheese
  • 1 tsp baking powder

Filler:

  • 1 tbsp cream cheese

Components:

  • Baking sheet
  • Parchment paper
  • Mixing bowl

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350° F, and line 1 baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In large bowl add one cup almond flour, 3/4th cup shredded cheese and 1 tsp baking powder, then stir up.
  3. Crack an egg in a separate bowl and whisk up, then add 2 tbsp heavy cream.
  4. Make a hole in center of the flour cheese mixture then pour in egg and cream.
  5. Mix it all up and then with your hands make 4 dough balls and place on baking sheet.
  6. Bake for 15 minutes at 350 F, until crispy.
  7. Let stand for 3-5 minutes before eating, then slice each biscuit in half and add 1 tbsp cream cheese in center if desired.

Note: While the carbs in the almond flour seem high, its only 10 grams net carbs per batch, due to 14 grams of fiber per batch. That means net carbs per serving is 3 grams.
